Received full success evaluation for all payloads onboard

TOKYO, June 25, 2020 – Axelspace Corporation has been responsible for the design, integration and operation of the Rapid Innovative Payload Demonstration Satellite 1 (RAPIS-1), launched aboard the fourth Epsilon Launch Vehicle (Epsilon-4) on January 18, 2019 by Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) from the Uchinoura Space Center in Kagoshima Prefecture. RAPIS-1 successfully went through the in-orbit check-out phase and moved onto normal operation phase on March 31, 2019 and has been conducting in-situ experiments for the 7 demonstration themes.

Upon completion of the initially set in-orbit experiment period, JAXA conducted a Mission CompletionReview and acknowledged full success for all the onboard demonstration themes (achieved the target as originally planned). In response to the decision that the mission has completed, we moved to the end of operations initiative and would like to announce the satellite successfully terminated its signal transmission after the last operation yesterday. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to JAXA and everyone from the onboard demonstration development teams for their support in the success of the RAPIS-1 project.
