Resumption of Commercial Operations of Microsatellite GRUS-1E in AxelGlobe

JAN - 13 - 2026

NEWS

Axelspace Corporation (“Axelspace”), a leading developer and operator of microsatellites dedicated to realizing its vision of “Space within Your Reach,” announced that commercial operations of the Earth observation microsatellite “GRUS-1E”, operated for the AxelGlobe business, has resumed.

After announcing a suspension of commercial operations in December 2024 due to a malfunction in the attitude control system of GRUS-1E, recovery efforts have since progressed, and the satellite had recovered its image acquisition capabilities by March 2025. Following this, new functionalities enabling data acquisition through the automated operation system were developed and integrated, leading to the resumption of commercial operations of GRUS-1E. As a result, the GRUS-1 satellite constellation has returned to a five-satellite operational configuration.
