On August 8, 2023, Axelspace celebrated its 15th year anniversary by holding two memorable events. We hosted one event exclusively for our internal members, while the other was a ceremonial occasion aimed at sharing our history and future vision with partners and stakeholders who have supported us throughout the years.
Internal Event:
Articulated the vision driving our business to empower and strengthen our team
On July 24, 2023, all members gathered to celebrate the 15th year anniversary of the company.
Established in 2008 by a founding team of four members, our company has experienced substantial growth, expanding a diverse team comprising over 130 professionals from 26 different countries. To represent this diversity, the event was held both in Japanese and English.
To foster a unified vision moving forward, those members acquainted with the company’s early years shared its history with the rest of us.
Listening to all of their stories about how the company started off in a laboratory-like atmosphere, challenges they’ve faced in early-growth years and the reflections and sentiments of fellow members, the current members experienced a mixture of surprise and a sense of camaraderie. This served as a valuable opportunity for the current team to understand the interconnectedness of their daily work and responsibilities as they learned more about the company’s history.
The 15th year anniversary T-shirts worn by the speakers and board members at the event were given to all the members at the end of the event as a token of appreciation for efforts made thus far, and to foster a sense of unity towards the company’s vision “Space within Your Reach”.
External Event:
The mission patch for the next launch was revealed. CEO Yuya Nakamura shared the vision towards Axelspace 3.0 and beyond.
On August 1, 2023, we held a commemorative ceremony at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Tokyo to celebrate the 15th year anniversary of Axelspace and to articulate our vision for the future.
We welcomed our partners and stakeholders as guests and expressed our gratitude for their continuous support.

AxelLiner business aims to offer a service that standardizes and automates satellite manufacturing in anticipation of the further commercial use of small satellites.
We shared the current progress on the business since its announcement in spring 2022 by unveiling the mission patch design and development status of the demonstration satellite “Pyxis,” and presenting a demonstration of the AxelLiner Terminal functionality for the first time, which will become a key element of the service.
AxelGlobe business strives to deliver services that benefit the society more directly. We presented case studies of AxelGlobe applications and the future roadmap including the launch of next-generation satellites and the application of new technologies.
The first half of the event concluded with a panel discussion, delving into the narrative of our business and illustrating how the company’s diversity underpins our distinctive business model.
We shared our pragmatic views towards our business directions leading to better understanding about the company’s future initiatives.
In the last half of the ceremony, we expressed our gratitude to all the guests for supporting us through the past 15 years. With over 300 attendees in the venue (including employees), fruitful conversations developed as we strengthened our relationships with guests supporting the industry.
The realization of our vision “Space within Your Reach” is not something that can be achieved by us alone, and we strive to involve more players from space and non-space industries to create infrastructure in space.
