Presenting the AxelGlobe Project Logo and the GRUS Micro-Satellite Emblem

Symbols of our next-generation image observation infrastructure

At today’s “KDDI ∞ Labo 10th DemoDay“ event hosted in Tokyo’s Shibuya Hikarie, Axelspace Corporation (HQ: Tokyo; CEO: Yuya Nakamura) has announced several new collaborations regarding our AxelGlobe Project (announced on December 2015). At the same time, we are pleased to announce the AxelGlobe Project logo and the emblem for GRUS, the microsatellite series that will form AxelGlobe’s constellation.

For information about the new collaborations, please see this other press release.

AxelGlobe Logo

AxelGlobe will be powered by a constellation of 50 microsatellites. This logo is a stylized representation of the satellites orbiting around the Earth. This will be the basic shape representing the project, and several variants of it will be used in many applications of the new infrastructure.

GRUS Emblem

This emblem features a flying red crane as an homage to the Crane constellation (Grus in Latin). Because many GRUS satellites will orbit the Earth in formation, these are also shown as dots in the upper part of the image. The message “Sensing the world, changing the future” is AxelGlobe’s official slogan.
